Some of my best work!

As I looked back on all the work we have done this semester, I realized that I learned a little something from all of it! From working with turtle blocks to coding in twine, I think it's safe to say that the overall experience was a fantastic one! When the class first begun, I thought it might be another one of those online classes where we have to read papers and reflect on them and give each other comments about what the other said. To my surprise, we got exactly the opposite! We each got to learn something new within the comfort of our own space. We got to talk and collaborate ideas with one another. We got to explore everyones work through videos and pictures. My favorite part was getting to see everyones finished work because it was the perfect depiction of how different all our ideas were and how creativity goes a long way!

My best work in this class by far has to be coding my mbot to dance to the Tootsie Roll. When Dr. Ardito first brought the robot over and taught me how to use it... boy did me and that mbot not get along! From connection problems, to having the robot not do what I wanted it to do! It took a lot of troubleshooting and trial and error but we finally became the best of friends. After working through all the tutorials and getting more familiar with coding and the mbot, I picked the perfect song and had such a blast coding the mbot to dance with it! I especially loved being able to do it in my own home because my family got to see what we were working on and how far I've come with technology. A lot of people don't know but I took up technology as a challenge to myself. I wanted to push my limits and set new boundaries for my teaching methods. With the help of this course and the others that came before it, I was able to learn and grow into a well rounded teacher that can now integrate technology into my class :)

Below is the link to my robots dance! Check it out, I think its pretty good work!

        Nancy,

You did a great job this semester.

I am so glad that this was your experience of the course:
